Feeders?[edit]

Should there be made mention of Feeder Guppy variety? They are rather distinct from the norm in severly reduced size, and little to no differentiation between specimens of same gender. They are largely colorless save males possess a red/orange tail, and a stripe and black spot. They also possess a high degree of mutations/deformities due to extreme inbreeding( working to fix that in mine, seen a lot with scoliosis) and can interbreed readily with standard guppies. We don't really get these "feeder" Guppies on sale much in the UK, as there are restrictions on selling live fish as food. Surely these guppies are just inbred, and poorly bred, wild-type guppies so don't really have a "type" in the same way a mongrel heinz 57 dog doesn't really have a type! --Cat 12:28, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
