Tank compatibility[edit]

A lone predator with a large mouth, no recommended tank mates. If tank mates are attempted the result will usually be the same, one plump happy catfish.


Diet[edit]

A carnivorous catfish, will take most meaty foods. A varied diet is recommended.


Feeding regime[edit]

Feed once or twice a day.


Identification[edit]

Long bodied catfish. Dark grey body with a pale underbelly. Broad sloping head with pale coloured eyes which gives this fish it's common name. Four sets of barbels. The top of the tail is edged with white. Albino variations have been seen.
