- This hardy plant is a fast-growing stem plant suitable for beginners. It can grow in low to high lighting and is good at consuming excess nutrients in the water to help prevent algae problems. Because of its fast growth, water sprite can quickly over-shadow smaller plants and overrun the tank, especially if CO2 is in use.
