- Males are more brightly coloured with slightly more elongated and elaborate fins, especially the dorsal fin. Males are slimmer than females.
Tank compatibility[edit]
- An active community fish that should be kept in shoals of 6 or more. Will happily co-exist with equally active robust fish, but do not keep with long-finned, slow-moving or shy fish as the Columbian Tetra is very likely to fin-nip.
