Diet
- This genus is omnivorous. In nature they eat crustaceans, insect larvae and molluscs. They will ingest grains of sand, diatoms and filament algae. When in the aquarium they will readily eat mysis shrimp, mosquito larvae, daphnia, plankton and high quality flakes and pellets
