Summary[edit]
The blue Gudgeon Dartfish is a type of dartfish with a blue green coloration on most of its body, and a dark spot on its tail. These fishes will get up to a maximum of 5 inches at adult size. They are commonly found in the reefs Fiji, though they can be found in other areas of the Indo Pacific region.
In Aquariums[edit]
These dartfishes are very timid by nature. It is an absolute requirement that they must not be housed with any aggressive fish that will threaten them. It is recommended that the minimum size aquarium that they should be Housed in is at least 30 gallons for optimal health. These fish will burrow in sand so it’s recommended to get a substantial amount of sand for the aquarium Approximately 2-5 inches. It is worth noting that these fishes do much better in groups of 2-4 individuals introduced simultaneously. It’s been generally observed that The larger group, the less seclusive the fish tends to be.
Diet[edit]
In the wild, these fish is normally eat plankton. These carnivorous fish require frequent feeding To be fed a recommended dose of three times a day. Feeding these fishes meat-based food such as frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, pulverized high-quality flake food meant for carnivorous marine fish.
