About London Aquarium[edit]
The London Aquarium is the first attraction of its kind in the capital, and is one of Europe's largest exhibitions of global aquatic life, displayed in over 2 million litres of water. The London Aquarium combines education, relaxation and entertainment through a multi-sensory voyage of discovery through the rivers, lakes and oceans of the world. Nowhere else in London can visitors come face-to-face with sharks, watch our piranhas at feeding time and stroke friendly rays. At The London Aquarium we aim to encourage respect for nature through our fun and educational journey into the underwater world.
What can you see?[edit]
London Aquarium contains 11 'Zones' from Freshwater to Marine. These are:
- Fresh Water Stream - including Rudd and Grayling.
- Atlantic Ocean, Upper & Lower - including Cuckoo Wrasse and Rays.
- Rivers & Ponds - including Roach, Brown Trout and Koi.
- Pacific Ocean, Upper & Lower - including Mono and Ragged Tooth Shark.
- Indian Ocean - including Valentini Pufferfish and Yellow Boxfish.
- Touch Pool - includes several types of Ray.
- Coral Reef - includes Clownfish, Lionfish, Coral and Moray Eels.
- Invertebrates - includes Clownfish, Stonefish and Sea Cucumbers.
- Tropical Freshwater - includes Terrapins, Cichlids and Plecos.
- Mangrove - includes Four-Eyed Fish and Scats.
- Rainforest - includes Arowana, Malawi Cichlids, Giant Gourami, Pacu and Mbu Pufferfish.
The "touch pool" is no longer touch friendly! The Aquarium have come to their senses and visitors are no longer allowed to touch the fish.
They have regular talks and feedings for some of the larger fish, including a dive feed in the largest tank with the bigger sharks.

Nearest tube stations are Westminster and Waterloo. It is located right next door to the London Eye.
They are open 10am - 6pm 7 days a week, only closed on Christmas Day, some holidays may have restricted open hours.
Prices[edit]
There are regular tourist discounts, as well as the usual OAP, Group and Student reductions, oyster card users are also eligible for discounts. The standard prices are as follows:
- Adults (18 yrs +) - £13.25
- Children (3-14 yrs) - £9.75
- Children under 3 - Free
