- This fish is difficult to sex visually, mature females may be slightly plumper than males.
Tank compatibility
- A semi-aggressive fish that should not be kept with fish smaller than itself. They do best in an South American set up with fish such as Silver Dollars and Severums.
Diet
- A herbivorous fish that will need a vegetarian diet including vegetable pellets and flake and blanched vegetables. Will nibble aquatic plants.
