Origin[edit]

P. galeatuscomes originates from South America including the Rio Orosa in Peru.[1]


Diet[edit]

In the wild this fish feeds mostly on small fish, insects, and other prey items. Will occasionally eat fruit. In the aquarium it prefers live food but will take prepared as well. it will eat everything from shrimp pellets to floating food sticks.

Feed once or twice a day.
